Extraction: Steam distilled from organic flower buds

Origin: Sri Lanka or Madagascar

Properties: analgesic, antiseptic, anti-infectious, rubefacient, antispasmodic and digestive tonic.

When I was a little girl, my mom gave me clove buds for a toothache (I would put it on the painful tooth). It relieved my pain until I could see a dentist. Clove has long been used for dental care, toothaches, cavities and infections. It is lesser known for its ability to increase blood circulation and purify the blood. It reduces pain and spasms. It also helps maintain the health and tone of the stomach. It can be very sensitizing, so use well diluted.
